This is a hypothetical redesign for the U.S. currency. On each of the bills, there is a portrait influential black artist. The background of each bill is inspired by each of the artist’s work. On each of the bills, there is the signature of each artist that would act as a security element. I painted all of the bills with either watercolor or gouache. For some of the backgrounds, I used cut paper.
